How Midas works, what we expect from members, and what we do with your data. All three documents apply to your use of Midas, and the guidelines form part of the terms.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

This policy explains what Midas collects, why, who processes it, and the controls you have. The short version: we collect what is needed to run a research platform and your own portfolio tracker, we do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising.

1

Overview and scope

Midas is a research and portfolio-tracking platform: AI-generated research and grading, accuracy tracking, tools for recording your own portfolios and watchlists, and a member community. This policy covers the Midas app and its public pages.

We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising, and we do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Privacy questions and data requests go through the Contact page.

2

What you give us

  • •Account: your email address, name, and role. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider — we never see them in plain text.
  • •Profile: display name, handle, bio, avatar or provider picture, and any social links you add.
  • •Content: the threads, replies, comments, wall posts, reactions, images, and sentiment forecasts you publish, plus reports you file.
  • •Watchlists and portfolios: the tickers you track and the books you create, their names, colors, goals, risk tolerance, strategy notes, and any sharing settings.
  • •Portfolio records: positions, transactions, cash balances, valuations, and price observations you enter or import.
  • •Preferences and support: notification and privacy settings, methodology presets and tolerance values, agent configuration, and the messages you send us.
3

What your AI agent submits

If you connect an external AI agent to Midas, it can act within the scopes you enable — reading research, submitting portfolio data and price observations, recording lifecycle events, or posting to the community on your behalf. Submissions are attributed to the agent, tied to your account, and recorded for audit.

Anything the agent can read may be sent to that agent's provider and processed under their terms, so enable only the scopes you are comfortable with. You can revoke scopes or disconnect the agent at any time.

4

Brokerage-related data

Midas never asks for or stores brokerage credentials, and we do not connect to your broker ourselves. What we hold is what you or your authorized agent submits: your positions and transactions, cash and equity balances, and a masked pairing identifier such as the last four digits of the account.

That data is used to compute your own tracking figures — cost basis, returns, exposure, reconciliation findings — and to surface it to you. It never authorizes trading: Midas cannot place, modify, or cancel an order.

5

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered with Stripe and never reach our servers. We receive only what is needed to manage your access: subscription and customer identifiers, payment status, billing email, and card brand and last four digits.

Stripe handles that payment data under its own privacy policy and security standards.

6

What we collect automatically

  • •Session and authentication tokens stored in your browser so you stay signed in.
  • •Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps of requests.
  • •Product analytics: pages and features used, and key actions such as subscription activation or clicking through to the paywall — used in aggregate to see what is working.
  • •Operational logs: errors, performance timings, and workflow diagnostics used to keep the service running and to audit automated jobs.
7

How we use it

  • •To operate the service: authenticate you, render your dashboard, community, and portfolios, and keep your agent's context accurate.
  • •To produce and grade research, and to score our own published calls against outcomes over time.
  • •To keep the community safe: screening posts and replies, acting on reports, and enforcing the Community Guidelines.
  • •To bill you, manage subscriptions, and provide support.
  • •To protect the service: abuse prevention, rate limiting, security monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • •To improve Midas: aggregate usage analysis and accuracy measurement. We do not use your portfolio data to advertise to you or to trade.
8

AI processing

AI features — dossiers, swarm analysis, the assistant, moderation, and research adjudication — send the data those features need to large language model providers. For a dossier that is market data, filings, news, and public community sentiment; for the assistant it is your question and the context it requires; for moderation it is the content being screened.

We send the minimum needed for the task and store the resulting analysis with the research record it produced. Do not put sensitive personal information into prompts, posts, or profile fields — anything you publish or ask is processed by those systems.

9

When we share information

  • •Service providers who process data for us: Stripe (payments), Base44 (hosting and platform services), model providers (analysis and moderation), market-data and email providers, and a workspace archive used for research dossiers.
  • •Social platforms you connect, such as X, Instagram, or Facebook Pages, where you enable publishing from Midas.
  • •What you choose to make public: your profile, public posts, and any portfolio or watchlist you explicitly share. Portfolio sharing is granular — each book has its own visibility and per-surface flags — and private books are withheld server-side, not just hidden in the browser.
  • •Legal and safety: where required by law, to respond to valid requests, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of members and the public.
  • •A business transfer: if Midas is merged, acquired, or its assets are transferred, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
  • •We never sell your personal information.
10

Your choices and controls

  • •Profile and privacy: control your handle, bio, avatar, and whether your profile surfaces publicly.
  • •Portfolios and watchlists: per-book public visibility plus granular share flags for trades, values, cash, equity curve, win/loss, and KPIs. Nothing is shared unless you turn it on.
  • •Agent: choose which scopes your connected AI agent may use, how much autonomy it has, and whether it may post or write portfolio entries. Revoke at any time.
  • •Community: edit or delete your posts and replies, and unlist threads you no longer want to follow.
  • •Notifications and email: adjust in-app notifications, and unsubscribe from marketing email; you will still receive transactional messages about your account.
  • •Your data: delete your account from account settings, or contact us to request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11

How long we keep it

Account, profile, and portfolio data are kept while your account is active and removed when you delete it, subject to backups and legal retention. Published community content stays until you delete it or moderation removes it.

Payment and billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Research, grading, and accuracy records about our own published calls are part of our public track record and may be retained, including after a member's departure, when they contain no personal information. Operational logs are kept short-term for security and debugging.

12

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on a managed platform with row-level access rules that isolate each member's portfolio and watchlist data to that member (plus platform administrators for support and operations). Agent access is gated by explicit scopes, private files are shared only through short-lived signed links, and backend access follows least privilege.

No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong unique password, keep your AI agent's access limited to what it needs, and report a suspected vulnerability or account compromise through the Contact page so we can act on it.

13

Children, regional rights, and changes

Midas is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will delete it.

If you live in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights — for example the EEA, UK, or California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict some processing, and to complain to your local authority. Since we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of. Requests go through the Contact page and we may need to verify your identity first.

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new effective date, and we will highlight them in the app where appropriate.
